  • I am not going to moan this time

The job search is still going on and my husband (or whatever you would want to call him) still lives in the house, There is an uneasy truce which will probably remain until the financials are negotiated. That will be difficult.

Anyway, as I said I won't moan. I am going to write about the good things that are going to happen to me and my children.

We will have more space. We won't have to keep quiet when he is asleep during the day (shift worker). Most importantly of all I am not tied down to living near Heathrow Airport.

The children and I would like to live by the sea, however, I also want to live somewhere where there is a community and where the pace of life is not driven by money and the need to own material things to be judged as successful. Or even to look like Madonna (i.e., role model for Mid forties mother of two children!!!).

Does such an idyll exist? I need to find it.

  • Diary of Divorce

I don't know where to start really, but here goes.
I told my husband that I had had enough of his debts and out of control spending. He didn't believe me.
Then the letter from the solicitor arrived....
He asked me to forgive him and said that he wouldn't do it again. I ignored it and carried on with the procedings.
Since then it has been awful, everyday brings a mixture of highs and lows.
I am always on my own with this problem to solve.

The debts have created a financial mess. I can't downsize house because there isn't anything to go down to and also I have two young children to house.
His debts are £63,000 and his salary of £34,000 doesn't allow him to support himself then service the debts and then assist me.
Beleive me that is the order of priority that appears to be sanctioned by the courts of this land.

It looks like I am going to have to take on £100,000 mortgage on my own. I have a job that comes to an end on Oct 2nd. After that I don't know what.
I am desperately seeking a job.
